Abstract

This research was about teaching and learning of vocabulary by using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. The objectives of the research were to know about the Artificial Intelligence (AI) can influence and motivate teachers and students in teaching and learning vocabulary, to know about the challenges and opportunities for teacher and students of teaching and learning by using Artificial Intelligence (AI). The data were gained by doing observation, interviewing the teacher, and giving questionnaire to the students. The researcher used three major phases of the data analysis, they are: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing verification.  After analyzing the data, the researcher found that the teaching and learning of vocabulary by using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools especially in Duolingo can influenced and motivated the

teacher and students because of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools especially in Duolingo can build their vocabulary and felt more interesting when the learning process. Also, it found that the teaching and learning of vocabulary by using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools especially in Duolingo application was have some challanges that were the internet connection and it was not fully free, and the opportunities are both of the teacher and students can learn about vocabulary and can learn more about the new languages.
