This research aims to know UIN Raden Intan Lampung's English department students' opinions on their lecturer's teaching strategies and learning models in writing class. Teaching strategy is a generalized plan for a lesson that includes structure, instructional objectives, and an outline of planned tactics, necessary to implement the strategies. A learning model is a conceptual framework that is used as a guideline in carrying out a work activity, or a systematic description for the learning process to help students learn to achieve the goals they want to achieve. This research used a quantitative descriptive method, with data collected using a questionnaire distributed through Google Forms. The population in this research was 221 students with 70 students used as research samples for the questionnaire, the sample selection used cluster random sampling technique. In this research, descriptive statistics were used with the following steps: distributing questionnaires via Google Forms; counting the number of responses based on each category; coding, the classification of answers given by respondents according to the type; analyze the data; interpreting the data; drawing the conclusion. The findings indicated that according to students' opinions, the most favored teaching strategy is Contextual Learning, with 65.35% choosing it as the most motivating, and 53.13% for comprehension of the material. Meanwhile, the most favored learning model according to students is Problem-Based Learning, with 50.20% of students choosing it as the most motivating and 46.66% for comprehension of the material. In addition, this research has its own limitation since it was barely able to find the exact similar research as this is. Thus, it is recommended to other researchers to explore simpler model of variables, and more diverse sample
